Francine made landfall as a Category 2 Hurricane in Louisiana, leaving close to 400,000 people without power, flooded roads, downed trees and property damages. The storm is now a tropical depression, bringing heavy rain across the Southeast.

Officially Hurricane Francine, this storm will make landfall in Louisiana today. The Gulf Coast and southern regions will all feel the storm's effects, including flooding, storm surge, damaging winds and potential tornadoes.

Although still a Tropical Storm as of Tuesday morning, Francine is expected to turn into a Category 1 Hurricane before making landfall on Wednesday in Louisiana. Its impacts will also affect a large area of the Gulf coast along Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Dangers include life-threating storm surge and flooding. A hurricane warning is in effect along the Louisiana coast and a storm surge warning is in effect in areas of Texas and along the Mississippi-Alabama border.

Tropical Storm Francine formed today after being labeled Potential Tropical Cyclone Six over the weekend. TS Francine is currently moving towards the western coasts of the Gulf of Mexico and is forecasted to strengthen into a Hurricane by Wednesday.
Watches and warnings are already in effect in portions of Texas and Louisiana. Crawford’s adjuster teams are poised and ready for deployment to impacted areas as soon as it is safe to do so.
