We continue to see uncontrolled wildfires across the region, and structures are now being compromised. Firefighters are working tirelessly to save structures and protect critical infrastructure. Significant loss has occurred to the townsite, but the extent of the damage remains unknown. According to the Government of Canada, the fires have burned thousands of hectares, with dense smoke affecting air quality and visibility.
Evacuation centres have been established to provide shelter and resources to displaced residents. We are closely monitoring the wildfire situation, and our thoughts are with everyone affected.

An evacuation order was issued for Jasper and Jasper National Park, affecting 4,700 residents. Fires are burning south and east of the community. Little rain is expected, with dry lightning posing additional risks and potentially igniting new fires.
We have capacity and are ready to assist during this challenging time. We continue to monitor the situation closely and are prepared to respond as needed.
