Large hail and heavy rain pummeled through the Calgary area, resulting in significant damage to residents' homes and vehicles. This severe weather event brought a combination of hail, water, and wind.

The storm originated from the foothills and moved eastward, predominantly affecting northern Calgary. Most of the damage resulted from large hail, with additional storm cells causing heavy rain and strong winds in nearby regions. At this point in time, it is still too early to provide an accurate picture in terms of insured loss estimates for this severe weather event, but our thoughts are with all those that have been impacted.
