Our annual UK Contractor Connection Conference was held at the end of September at Stadium MK. The theme of this year’s Conference, “RESTORE,” was derived from Crawford & Company’s mission to restore and enhance lives, businesses and communities and how the Contractor Connection network can exceed ever-increasing expectations.
This is a growing and important event for Crawford. Attendance has grown from 30 people in 2016 to over 300 Contractor Connection network contractors, insurance clients and service provider partners gathered for the annual event, sharing key insights into industry trends, technology, performance and business strategy. Inspirational speakers on leadership and resilience included footballer, Stuart Pearce and former Headmaster, Drew Povey.
Delegates also heard a video presentation from CEO and President, Harsha V Agadi, on the importance of our network partners to Crawford and how their strength, diversity and innovation supported our mission and commitment to serving our clients and their policyholders.
Larry Thomas, global president, Crawford Specialty Solutions, talked about the Crawford vision, mission and values and how the actions of our Contractor Connection team are driven by our RESTORE values. These values exemplify what we do at Contractor Connection with the support of our network partners.
Contractor Connection and UK Managing Director, Lee Sadowski, outlined the enhancements to our business and network with the introduction of a new job management system and operating model. Lee also announced a new foundation member Women into Construction, which is a great charity that works with women to help them into the Construction industry. The Contractor Connection Foundation is creating positive conversations and actions to foster a more diverse, sustainable and inclusive workforce across the UK.
An exciting feature of the event is the chance to recognise some of our highest performing partners in our own awards scheme. Tony Derbyshire, network director, concluded the day by announcing our Contractor Connection Awards winners:
