One thing we love about our roster of adjusters is their varied backgrounds and how those experiences shape their adjusting career and how they interact with policyholders. Monica Palleja, a current Crawford adjuster, is a prime example of this, having a background in both labor relations and law.
After earning a Juris Doctor degree in 2008, Monica began working in the insurance industry and developed years of experience and knowledge before joining our Puerto Rico branch as a casualty adjuster in 2018. Since then, Monica has gained valuable experience in Puerto Rico and decided to advance her career even further by studying to become a property adjuster as well.
We’re happy to share that she passed her test and is now a licensed property adjuster in Puerto Rico, making her a multi-line adjuster. She didn’t stop there though. After obtaining that license, Monica participated in the Crawford Catastrophe Training teams 5-day Adjuster Basics class held in Allex, TX this past August. Through that course she successfully learned Xactimate Levels 1 and 2, which is a challenging but necessary skill to have when working with policyholders and closing claims efficiently.
Monica has expressed that she feels fortunate for the opportunity that she has been given and that working for Crawford has meant both personal and professional growth for her.
We can’t wait to see what she’ll do next!
