Delivering “top quality, promptly” has remained one of Tom’s highest priorities throughout his tenure. His investment in our people, quality standards, and overall strategy over the past 40 years has had a clear and direct impact on the growth of our property claims services. Since the inception of our Global Technical Services division in 2000, Tom has been instrumental in its evolution, citing the implementation of the Commercial Property Management approach as a key component in making our services more efficient and client focused.
Whether it be the teamwork and development of client business and relationships, or the career and expertise advancements of our professionals, Tom has had and continues to have an incredible impact on the success of our business, our clients and their policyholders’ experience, and our adjusters and team at large.
“Over the years, I have been fortunate to have opportunities to work with significant mentors and colleagues - all great experiences and reasons for our success!”
Commercial property loss adjusting classes
Tom’s involvement in Crawford’s training practices has had a direct impact on the success of our adjusters and our ability to help our clients. The extensive curriculum of our Commercial Property Loss Adjusting (CPLA) classes is an excellent example of how Tom has prioritized the education and development of our adjusters to enable them to handle a commercial property loss from the policy review phase to the final claim resolution.
The CPLA classes cover policy analysis, risk valuations and coinsurance, tenant improvement and betterments, stock loss, business interruption, statement of loss, and commercial loss reporting. Each class involves high levels of participation, analysis, and application of commercial loss scenarios. Participants are assigned daily case studies that encourage collaboration in order to identify the best solution for the sample claim. Friendly competition is encouraged through the gamification of quizzes, exams, and activities to allow for a learning environment that is conducive to always striving to provide top quality, promptly!
To RESTORE is distinctly reflected in the dedication that Tom and his team put forth into all facets of the business. “I’ve experienced the most satisfaction over my tenure through the teamwork and development of client business and relationships, and the career and expertise advancements of our professionals.”
