When searching for a job, WeGoLook (WGL) was a natural fit for Patrick Richardson. The large presence the company has in Oklahoma, as well as the abundant opportunities for growth and job stability, enticed him to apply for a position.
“WGL is a fast and agile place to work that gives you control over solving your own problems,”
said Richardson. “It’s a place that allows for freedom and mobility and that also grants me the opportunity to do two of the things I love most: coding and building relationships.”
His day-to-day revolves around maintaining and upgrading systems to make sure that clients receive the most up to date and reliable service. Patrick, who is well into his second year as a software developer at WeGoLook, continuously meets with clients and fellow colleagues to discover new ways to improve WGL’s services. These conversations are not only an important part of his job but are one of the aspects he enjoys most about his position.
Patrick’s interest in Computer Science, and specifically coding and programming, began when he was in high school. He went on to major in the field while at the University of Oklahoma.
“I enjoy the fulfillment of clearing technical roadblocks and making lives easier. Coding and programming allow me to do just that.”
As for a long term career at WeGoLook, Patrick has a few things in mind. “I would like to display both my technical and interpersonal skills on a larger, more consistent basis in the future. Possibly leading a team or working in project management. I would love to grow and build upon what I’m already doing.”
