The Southeast Asia region continues to demonstrate strong growth compared to the developed markets. Even as the region is still reeling from the pandemic, Japanese companies are actively seeking expansion in the emerging markets of Southeast Asia.
Strategically located in Bangkok, Thailand, the Crawford Japan Desk provides dedicated support to the growing presence of Japanese companies and their affiliates in the Southeast Asia region, bringing us closer to our customers.
Better client outcomes
A year since the Crawford Japan Desk commenced operation, it has played an integral part in how Crawford adjusters have operated amidst the challenges posed by lockdown restrictions.
The Japan Desk, led by Tetsuya Fujita, facilitated effective claims management for our customers across the entire region including China, Singapore, Korea, the Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Thailand. The team plays a vital role in delivering a rapid, reliable, and scalable service to our Japan-based insurers working alongside our extensive network of offices. There has been enormous interest to have support with complex claims in property, product liability and cyber risks.
Being there for our customers when they need us
When Super Typhoon Rai, hit the Philippines on 16 December 2021, the Desk coordinated and facilitated information exchange with reinsurers and insurers who have exposures in the affected areas.
This is just one example of how Crawford can connect all the stakeholders to a claim to speed up the claims resolution process. We can facilitate claims service for our Japanese customers regardless of location in Asia.
Serving a complex region
Crawford is committed to delivering the best experience to customers wherever they are in the world.
Crawford understands Asia is a diverse and complex market, and we have a relentless focus on our people and empowering them to meet our customers' needs. We will continue to invest in talents that can further enhance our Japan Desk capability and deliver world-class solutions with a local touch.
