It’s no secret that the recruitment landscape has changed significantly since the global COVID-19 pandemic. The older “baby boomer” generation is reaching retirement age while the current generation looks to take the opportunity to travel or engage in voluntary work before considering permanent employment.
So not only is there a shortage of candidates, but those who are on the lookout for employment – especially at graduate or entry level – are now seeking jobs with purpose and where they can make a difference to the lives of others.
Crawford has always had a clear purpose – to restore lives, businesses and communities when the worst happens. But in a competitive recruitment market, we go a little further by putting in place an open and honest recruitment process. Our interviews are held by colleagues who know the job and are clear and transparent about what the position entails. We explain our commitment to technology that helps, not hinders, and how this allows us to focus more on our core roles. We are very clear about training and progression and our strong commitment to develop our future leaders from within. People come to us because they have a genuine interest in Crawford.
And this approach is paying off in Europe – In the last few months we have welcomed new faces and celebrated those newly promoted to leadership positions:
In Spain, Maria Olaguibel joined us as Director of Marine and Corporate Commercial. In January 2023, Luca Ginocchietti joined out Italian operation as Executive General Adjuster and Head of Cyber & Business Development, and Nicola Bruzzone – was promoted to Head of Liability.
In the Benelux region, we welcomed Sven van Essen RA who joined as a Property Damage Expert for Crawford Forensic Accounting Services; Erwin Gloudemans, loss adjuster with a background in financial consultancy and Evert Jan van Eck as a senior Marine expert.
We also welcomed Anne Christofferse, an attorney, and Siri Jones Gaaseide, a lawyer who joined our team in Norway.
Crawford Europe continues to make investments in talent across the region as it embarks on its strategy to ensure it fulfils its purpose to restore lives, businesses and communities. As a team, we are excited about the many future opportunities available across our European network to drive innovation, market expansion and revenue growth.
