This October marked the 11th anniversary of Crawford’s annual Global Month of Service. This event is a manifestation of Crawford’s mission of restoring and enhancing lives, businesses and communities and provides Crawford employees, and their families, the opportunity to serve their local communities.
GDOS around the world
This year, we had over 50 offices across the globe participate in our global service month with a combine 2,300 volunteer hours. 550 people volunteered their time in service of others and participated in a total of 50 service projects, partnering with organizations such as Five STAR Veteran center, Judytowo, and Feeding South Florida. These projects ranged from supporting cancer survivors and housing for homeless to global warming awareness programs, mountain trail clean-ups and horse therapy for children.
GDOS at the Atlanta Support Center
The Atlanta Support Center (ASC) partnered with a local non-profit organization for a school beautification project at Meadowcreek High School in Norcross, Georgia.
Despite the dismal weather conditions caused by Tropical Storm Nestor, ASC employees and their families powered through outdoor assignments managing to mulch the outdoor learning space, rework the garden and vegetable beds, pressure wash and paint the football field concession stands, build benches and assemble career kits for the students. Our chief people officer, Bonnie Sawdey, was awarded the Meadowcreek High School Pride Award, honoring Crawford’s commitment to serving the local community.
We want to thank all those who participated in GDOS this year. It was a raging success and was not only a great opportunity to give back, but a chance for all employees to bond and grow as One Crawford. Our commitment to our RESTORE values was truly on display.
