Last week, Crawford & Company celebrated its 77th anniversary with festivities in its Atlanta support center and around the globe.
Founded on the vision of Jim Crawford to deliver top-quality, reasonably-priced claims services to the insurance industry, Crawford & Company first opened its doors on May 27, 1941. From humble beginnings in Columbus, Georgia, Crawford has grown to become the world’s largest publicly listed independent claims management company, with more than 700 offices around the world.
Participating in the Atlanta Founder’s Day festivities was board member and son of founder Jim Crawford, Jesse Crawford, along with Jesse’s wife Sherri and son, Jesse Crawford, Jr (also a member of the board of directors). CEO Harsha V. Agadi kicked off the celebration with a speech acknowledging Crawford’s beginnings and honoring its current employees; afterwards, members of the global executive management (GEM) team served ice cream to hundreds of employees in Atlanta.
Around the world, Crawford offices participated in the Founder’s Day fun with cake and sweet treats for all.
Thanks to all who made this year’s Founder’s Day a success, and cheers to our 78th year! Be sure to watch our commemorative 77th anniversary video or check out the photographs from our people around the world.
