The Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters Annual Conference recently held at the Nottingham Belfry was attended by a large cohort of up-and-coming adjusters from across our agriculture and property teams.
The claims industry faces an ongoing talent shortage. At the same time, customer needs are continually evolving so it is essential that we nurture a diverse pool of expertise and broaden our insights. Crawford is determined to lead the way when it comes to investing in early career development.
Jane Hunter and Max Perris from our agriculture team spoke at the conference about the future of farming. Their talk covered topics such as current challenges, environmental changes, consumer trends, and Brexit. They also spoke about new risks such as vertical farms, robotics and the anticipated increase in insect farming and human consumption! Their presentation had been carefully researched, their delivery kept the entire room engaged and they ended up fielding some interesting questions at the end of the session.
We are sure that delegates were not only educated on the future of farming but also reassured that Crawford has an excellent set of developing adjusters. As these young people develop their careers, I have no doubt that the opportunities available within the adjusting industry will be wide-ranging and I am proud that Crawford is at the forefront of these exciting times.
